Herne was once an honorable hunter whose life was changed by an encounter with a mysterious druid. The druid taught him the ancient art of wild magic, but an unfortunate event during an intense hunting ceremony caused a permanent bond with the unpredictable forces of chaos. Now Herne bears the burden of wild magic, with his emotions and actions causing unintended, unpredictable, and sometimes dangerous magical outbursts. He roams as a Barbarian through the land, seeking ways to control the magic and find peace with his unbridled powers.
This Barbarian is inspired by the story of Herne the Hunter, a figure from English folklore. I found it wonderful to see how this ancient myth could almost seamlessly be translated into a Dungeons & Dragons setting, and I hope you are also inspired to create your own character based on basic.
Axe
Our Barbarian is armed with a battle axe, with which he can unleash his battle rage.
Barbarian cloak
Herne's clothing is designed for the outdoors, ideal for a Barbarian who sleeps outside. He can also use his long cloak to sleep in.
Tunic
Since deer and other prey animals do not perceive the colour red well, it is not a problem for a hunter to wear a red tunic.
Note that you also choose a suitable under-tunic for the tunic Lodin, as wool can itch, like the tunic Leif or Ulrich.
Chaperon
Is it too warm at a festival for a cloak? With a chaperon you still get an impression of outdoor life as a Barbarian.
Trousers
This supple trousers is ideal for various characters. And it has pockets.
Belt
Herne's belt has several rings, where he can hang pouches or hunting trophies. Ideal for a Barbarian. He also wears a narrower belt with a set of knives.
Barbarian boots
This is one of the most important parts of this Barbarian costume. With a good pair of boots, Herne can walk tirelessly through the wilderness. Unfortunately, the model we used for the photo is no longer made. But take a look at the following models:
Barbarian accessories
Shakespeare's version of Herne is a ghost with horns. With our set of 2 antlers, you can make a headband yourself. As a hunter, Barbarian Herne can carry a hunting horn, and you can equip him with a bow.
