Fantasy helmets

Fantasy helmets form a unique category within the world of costumes, reenactment, and LARP. While historical helmets are bound to the form and function of the past, fantasy helmets focus on creativity, atmosphere, and character design. These helmets are inspired by mythology, epic films, games, and fictional realms, creating a visual impact that directly aligns with the role or story you wish to portray.

When designing fantasy helmets, elements are often used that were rarely found in historical equipment: dramatic horns, animal shapes, detailed engravings, or asymmetrical constructions that give a character extra personality. Think of elegant elf helmets with graceful lines, dark orc helmets with aggressive silhouettes, or robust dwarf helmets that look massive and are richly decorated. For LARP players and cosplayers, comfort is just as important as appearance. Many fantasy helmets are therefore only 1 mm thick: the steel is lighter and can thus be worn for a longer time at a Comic Con or LARP. Also, 1 mm is safe for LARP battles.
