The most well-known Celtic helmet type is the Montefortino helmet. The Roman galea is derived from the Celtic helmets of antiquity. The Montefortino had a neck plate and cheek plates and a knob on the center of the helmet. This type of helmet was first found in a Celtic grave in the town of Montefortino. Roman helmet (galea helmet, coolus helmet), gladiator helmet and helmet crest

The most well-known Roman types of helmets are the galea and the coolus. Both types originated from Celtic helmets. The coolus has a round shape with a short neck plate and cheek plates, they were often undecorated. The galea was often decorated and had cheek plates, a longer neck plate, a brow reinforcement, and a helmet crest. In the assortment, we also have various gladiator helmets.
