Maintenance of leather goods

Leather is a beautiful material and is often used in historical, LARP and fantasy looks. However, leather goods require regular maintenance to prevent drying out.

Always ensure that the shoes is cleaned of mud and dried after each wear. It is also advisable to regularly treat the leather with leather oil or shoe polish to rehydrate the leather.

Leather belts, bags, purses, and harnesses should also be regularly treated with oil, wax, or polish to prevent them from drying out. If they become wet or dirty, make sure to clean and dry them before rehydrating the leather, just like with shoes.
