How can I best remove transport grease?
Why do we use transport grease?
All our steel weapons and armor are delivered in a fairly thick layer of grease. This is to prevent the item from rusting while it is in a warehouse or in transit for delivery. This layer is thicker than what is needed for normal maintenance, so it is important to remove this layer of transport grease as soon as you receive the item.
Removing transport grease
The transport grease can be removed with denatured alcohol or turpentine. To apply the product, it is best to use a soft cloth, so you do not scratch the steel.
Once all the grease is removed, apply a thin layer of oil, silicone spray or anti-rustspray again to keep the steel protected.
