Product description
This bevor is based on several 15th-century originals. The bevor protected the wearer against cuts and projectiles.
Bevors like this were developed in the second half of the 15th century. They protected the vulnerable neck and were usually worn in combination with a sallet, kettle helmet, or, at the beginning of the 16th century, with a burgonet. The sallet-bevor combination was the most common, and both pieces could be attached to each other in various ways.
