This cuirass is based on a 15th century original from the Wallace collection in London. The cuirass is made in the Milanese style, Milanese armor parts were worn everywhere in 15th century Europe. This breastplate is blackened, a technique that was widely used in the 15th century. It protects the cuirass against rust and weathering.
