Product description
This portable, fully mobile reconstruction of a set of poleyns, as worn in the late Middle Ages, is designed to protect the kneezone, from the lower part of the thigh to the upper part of the crop. This type of leg pussy was worn throughout Europe by knights and soldiers. It is made from 1.6 mm (16 gauge) steel and gushed on the inside for better corrosion resistance.
The leg pussy consists of poleyns (knee protectors, also known as genouillères), short cuisses with braided cords (including brass ends) and short! All parts are connected to each other by sliding plates or lames, which are attached with sturdy steel rivets, which guarantees sufficient freedom of movement. The upper edge of the cuisses and the bottom edge of the shin plates have been completed, and the poleyns run out in striking, fish tail -shaped wings on the outside.
On the back, three sturled, adjustable leather belts of approx. 3 mm thick with steel buckles provide a comfortable and customized fit.
