Product description

A beautiful replica sword by Windlass Steelcrafts, based on historical sabers from approx. 1840. Especially the cavalry in the US Army used sabers like this. They were based on the French hussar sabers. The model 1840 saber was designed for slashing and was nicknamed Wrist Breaker. This historical saber is delivered including a steel scabbard with belt loops. The semi-sharp blade is forged from tempered 1065 carbon steel with a hardness of 48-52 HRC. A great ornamental sword for the wall, also beautiful for American reenactment or for Cosplay. When you blunten the blade, it is a great battle ready saber for sword fighting.
