Product description

The sabre is an evolution of the European backsword, a straight, single-edged sword with a basket. It often has a slightly curved blade and a quite large knuckle-guard. Cavalry sabres however were straight and two-edged. Originally a 10th century Hungarian cavalry weapon the sabre had its highlight during the 19th century in the Napoleontic Wars and the American Civil War.

The original of this replica is from 1860. The sabre is delivered including a scabbard. Its length is 100 cm with a blade of 85 cm.
