Product description

A beautiful replica sword by Windlass Steelcrafts, based on a cavalry saber used during the American Civil War. Soldiers fought with these sabers during battles like Antietam, Manassas and Gettysburg. The American Civil War took place between 1861 and 1865 and was fought between the Southern States (Confederation) and Northern States. This saber is based on historical sabers used by the Confederate army, ie the southern states. This saber is based on the saber of General Jo Shelby of Missouri, who never gave in to his enemies. The grip is made of black leather with steel wire and the hilt is decorated with laurel leaves: the symbol of military victory. The blade is etched with C.S.A, which refers to the Confederate Army. It is delivered including a blued steel scabbard with belt loops. The semi-sharp flexible blade is forged from tempered 1095 carbon steel with a hardness of 48-52 HRC. A great ornamental sword for the wall, also beautiful for American Civil War reenactment or for Cosplay of series like Deadwood or Hell on Wheels. When you blunten the blade, it is a great battle ready saber for sword fighting.
