Product description

During the American Civil War (1861-1865) sabers were produced directly on American territory, but they were also imported en masse from Europe. As a result, there is a wide variation in the sabers used by both Union and Confederate soldiers during the Civil War. This reproduction is based on a popular type of French sabers used on both sides of the war. Both officers and regular soldiers used this saber.

This saber has a peened pommel. The guard and pommel are made of gold-colored brass and have a light patina layer to achieve an antique effect. The grip is made of wood with black leather wrapping and twisted brass wire. The saber is delivered including a steel scabbard with suspension rings.
