This upper leg armour is made after the Avant armour. Leg armour like this was worn all over Europe between approx. 1440 and 1500. The upper leg and knee are optimally protected by this armour. The knee cops are provided with roundels for protecting the back of the knee. The armour also has a leather edge so it can easily be attachted to a belt, for wearing them as separate armour parts.
