Product description
From the late 15th to the early 16th century, a new type of bevor emerged. This bevor consisted of multiple lames with an integrated visor. It is also called a “falling buffe” because the visor can be fully lowered. When the bevor is in the down position, it provides an optimal field of vision, while when raised, it forms an almost completely closed visor, similar to that of a closed sallet. This type of bevor was usually worn in combination with later kettle hats, sallets, or burgonets.
This bevor is modeled after originals from the second half of the 15th century. It features several lames that can be lifted individually. The slits in the bevor provide additional ventilation for increased comfort. At the back, the bevor is equipped with a leather strap.
