Product description

Introducing a noble version of the Dragon Samurai sword. Today, the dragon continues to hold significant importance in Japan, not only during New Year's celebrations. Unlike Western mysticism, the dragon is regarded as a mystical creature in Japan, believed to bring good fortune to people. The wakizashi features a hand-forged blade made of carbon steel with a delicate hamon, crafted using traditional tempering techniques. The sharp blade incorporates a hi (groove) to reduce overall weight.

The handle (tsuka) is meticulously crafted from wood, adorned with authentic fish skin, and adorned with two menukis. Additionally, it is traditionally wrapped with black cotton. The tang is notably long and secured with two bamboo pegs (mekugi). The scabbard (saya) is crafted from wood, while the blade collar (habaki) is made of brass. This short sword is faithfully crafted based on original museum exhibits. It comes accompanied by a certificate of origin, delicately wrapped in cloth, and packaged in a high-quality wooden box.
