Product description

A beautiful French briquet cutlass, modeled after original swords from the Napoleonic era. The briquet sabre was a French type of sabre that developed around 1767, replacing heavier, cumbersome infantry sabres that were impractical for infantry use. This type of cutlass was used by most French infantrymen during the Napoleonic Wars. Also suitable as a champagne sabre. Ideal for collectors and enthusiasts of historical sabres.
