Product description

This replica was originally found along the road from Mainz to Heddernheim, near Frankfurt. It was worn by both infantry and cavalry. This type of helmet offered better protection to the sides of the face compared to the older galea helmets. The original dates to the 2nd century AD.

The helmet weighs 3,1 kg and is suitable for a head circumference up to 60 cm. It is delivered including a cotton arming cap to wear beneath the helmet.
