Product description

Sabers with lion head decorations were mostly used by Prussian and German officers during the First and Second World War. There were many variations of this saber. This saber is not an exact replica of a historical original, but is based on various elements of original ceremonial sabers that German officers used during the Second World War.

This saber has a screwed pommel. The quillions, knuckle-bow and the pommel are made of gold-colored brass. The pommel has the shape of a lion's head and the lion has red-colored eyes of inlaid glass. The quillions also depict a lion's head and various organic decorations in the form of leaves, tendrils and a bird. The grip is made of wood and is wrapped with black leather and brass wire. The saber is delivered including a steel scabbard with belt loops.
