Product description
Thigh armor like this was very popular in the German regions during the late 15th century and was worn throughout Europe. The style is based on the late Gothic period, with similar ribbed reliefs found in Late Gothic churches. This leg armor is made of 1.6 mm thick steel and features adjustable leather straps at the back, along with finely crafted buckles in the high Gothic style. The front of the legs is decorated with forged fleurs-de-lys and streamlined ribs running across the thighs and ending just below the knee caps (poleyns).
