Product description
This type of halberd developed in the first half of the 16th century, evolving from 15th-century examples that had a more rectangular shape. This form of halberd was used throughout Europe. It features decorative piercings, which made the weapon slightly lighter without compromising its strength. The halberd is equipped with a long, broad spear point, allowing it to be used as a pike, and includes several small hooks and notches designed to parry enemy weapons. On the reverse side, it has a large hook used for pulling cavalrymen out of the saddle.
This hand-forged halberd measures 50 cm in total length and 30 cm in width from tip to axe edge.
