Product description

This ninjato is based on historical originals. As long as it is placed in the scabbard, it can?t be told apart from a normal katana. When drawn the short blade which gives the ninja his essential speed advantage can be recognized.

This sword has a total length of 108,5 cm including the scabbard (saya) and a length of 89,5 cm without the scabbard. The length of the blade is 58 cm and the grip (tsuka) is 31,5 cm. It weighs 1050 g. The blade is made of flexible 9260 carbon spring steel with a Rockwell hardness of HRC 55. It is made in the Shinogi-Zukuri style with a fuller and is sharp.

The grip wrapping is made of black cotton in the classic Hineri-Maki style underlaid with genuine shagreen. The ninjato has a high polish black lacquered scabbard with an extra long band (sageo) and closing edges (kojiri, kurigata and koiguchi) made of buffalo horn. It is delivered including a striking collector`s box.

John Lees models are inspired on historical originals and are high quality weapons. No plastics are used, only high quality authentic materials, like metal, brass, wood and shagreen. Every John Lee weapon is delivered including a seal and a certificate of authenticity.
