Product description

This sabre is a replica of originals that were used by the light infantry of Napoleon (Cavalerie Legere AN XI") in his Grand Armée. This type of sabre was widely used and is one of the first sabres with three side rings. The AN XI sabre is designed during the great modernization of the French Army. Before this type of sabre was developed, the light cavalry used a more Hussar type of sabre. From 1803 onwards this type of sabre was used by all infantrymen, except for the stubborn Hussars who still preferred to keep using the Hussar sabre.
