Product description

These spaulders are based on originals that were in use from the 14th century onwards. They can be easily combined with armor pieces from the Churburg or Avant styles, but spaulders like these were also commonly used in late-Gothic armor. Spaulders are narrow shoulder pieces that attach to a gambeson, chainmail hauberk, or gorget. These armor components differ from pauldrons, as pauldrons are wider and also provide protection for parts of the armpit.
