This pearl necklace is a replica of the necklace seen on Anne Boleyn’s famous portrait displayed in Hever Castle, Kent, England. The necklace consists of a string of pearls with in the middle the initial letter ‘B’ with 3 long pearls. Anne Boleyn and her daughter Elizabeth I both were keen on wearing pearls. Pearl jewels can be seen on many portraits painted of the two Tudor English queens. Anne Boleyn had several pearls necklaces with the initial letter B and this necklace is depicted on a number of portraits.
