Product description
This relief is made after the 1st century AD commemoration stone for the Centurion Marcus Caelius of the eighteenth legion Augusta. The original is excavated in Castra Vetera (Xanten) and mentions the death of Marcus Caelius in the Battle of Teutoburg Forest. This stone is the only written evidence of this day.
This relief measures 25 x 19 cm and at the back it has an eye for hanging it to the wall.
