Doublets were extremely popular in the 16th century. Around this time, a leather jacket or vest was sometimes worn over the doublet. This type of doublet was worn from the first half of the 16th century onwards.
The Geoffrey doublet is a close-fitting upper garment. It is ideal for 16th-century noble costumes, musketeers, and pirates, but also for bards, jongleurs, and merchants. The decorative brass fastenings are hand-cast, giving the doublet a noble and antique character. Perfect for a LARP event or medieval festival.
