Product description
This bowl is a replica of various pieces found in the whole Roman Empire. Bowls like this were commonly used during the 1st to 4th century AD. They were made in Southern Gaul by pottery workshops (officinae); during production some sort of mass production was used.
This bowl is made of red pottery (terra sigillata) and decorated with reliefs of flowers and Roman dancers, depicting a (religious) feast. The bowl is 22 x 11 cm large and is fully hand made following the traditional techniques.
