Product description

Scale armor like this was used between classical antiquity and the 15th century. It was used by Germanic horsemen employed as Roman auxiliae. It was used by the Byzantine cataphracts, which were heavy Byzantine cavalrymen. Scale armor has also been found in the Viking city of Birka and on Gotland.
