For smoking bacon, salmon and other delicious things! This smoking hook is a replica of a Roman original excavated in the Rhine area. Nowadays it is part of the collection of the Landesmuseum in Bonn. Smoking hooks like this have been found in London and Velzen. They were used from the classical period until the 18th century. This iron hook is easy to attach to a rope or cookware.

It can also be used as a historic throwing anchor when you fasten a rope to it.
