Product description
This type of Roman pilum was used between the 1st century BC and the 1st century AD, i.a. during the Gallic wars. After the pilum hit a target, the spearhead bended, so that the spear couldn't be thrown back.
This pilum has a heavier shaft than its predecessors and is made of wood and 9260 carbon steel. The spearhead can easily be dismantled and replaced. The length of this throwing spear is 224 cm and it weighs approx. 1,9 kg.
