Product description
This Battle-Ready Viking shield is painted with the Valknut or Odin's knot. This sign represents an oath-bound bond with the Old Norse god Odin. It is possibly derived from the older triskelion. The shield has an unpolished steel outer rim for extra strength and a conical shield boss that is also unpolished. This type of shield boss was worn throughout the Viking world between the 9th and 11th centuries. On the inside, behind the shield boss, a handle is mounted to make it easy to hold.
