Product description
This fitting can be used for decorating belt ends and bags. It is based on an original from Birka from the 10th century. It measures 2x2 cm and is bronze coloured.
It is inspired on the art style of the Magyars. The Magyars were a nomadic people that invaded Europe during the 9th century AD and settled in Hungary. The eastern Vikings traded with them and presumably used their art motives in their own objects. Birka was a city where Vikings from whole Europe traded and exchanged items, like this fitting.
