Product description
This detailed replica of a Viking Age cup is based on the original found in the tomb of King Gorm of Jelling, who ruled Denmark in the 10th century. The cup features a ribbon-like decoration with two intertwined mythical creatures, a design element that became known as the Jelling style. The Jelling cup is currently part of the permanent collection at the Danish National Museum in Copenhagen. Our replica is made to match the historical model in both size and design, measuring 5.5 x 4.5 cm, with a capacity of around 35 ml, making it ideal for serving spirits. You can use it for reenactment or in a pagan home altar.
Unlike the original, which is made of gilded silver, this replica is crafted from silver-plated bronze casting. The Jelling cup is a historical prop produced in small quantities and is not certified for food contact, so it is intended for display or ceremonial use only.
