Product description
Bronze studs were a common feature in the ornate belts of the Rus and Magyars, and they were introduced to the Vikings through the extensive trade routes connecting Scandinavia. As a result, belt fittings like these are frequently found in Viking Age graves.
This Viking belt stud measures 1.5 x 1.4 cm and is crafted from high-quality bronze.
The belt stud features two pins on the back for fastening. To secure the fitting, insert the pins through corresponding holes in the leather. Use pliers to slightly bend the pin tips inward, then tap them flat with a hammer to firmly attach the stud to the belt in a stable, flat position.
