This bronze comb is based on an 11th century original excavated in England. Combs like this are frequently excavated in England, East Sweden and in the Baltic region. Such cumbs were worn by women around their neck or on the hangeroc like a jewel for decoration, just like ear spoons, nail cleaners and other cosmetic decorated items.
