One of the most well-known races in the fantasy genre are the Elves. There are many subraces of Elves, and in every fantasy world, they are slightly different. Among the many types of Elves are the High Elves. For this Get the Look blog, we will show you one of the many ways to bring a High Elf character to life.

When we think of High Elves, we generally think more of elegance and beauty than of warriors or rangers. High Elves are often depicted in long, flowing dresses or robes with beautiful details. Therefore, we have chosen a dress with large sleeves and damask details.  

High Elves are a fantastic fantasy race for small details, such as jewelry. Elegant shapes and natural elements fit perfectly with a High Elf look. 

The most recognizable feature of Elves is their pointed ears. The exact shape and length varies per book, movie, or game, giving you plenty of room for your own preference. For this High Elf look, we used slightly longer ears.

Although there are no fixed rules about the hair color for High Elves, some of the most common colors are very light blonde or silver-white. Elves generally also have long, straight hair. It is not necessary to grow your own hair for years or to bleach it intensively to achieve such hairstyles. A wig is a much simpler option. 

For this look, we wanted to keep the shoes simple and relatively elegant. With a sleek, basic ankle boot or shoe, you can go a long way.

Within the concept of a High Elf, you can still play with the different roles they can have within their society. The fact that it is a High Elf does not mean they cannot also be a mage or warrior. If you want to make your High Elf a magical yield, a beautifully decorated staff can be a great accessory.

High Elves may be elegant and refined, but they are still skilled fighters when necessary. Elven weapons usually have a more curved shape for an elegant feel. They are also well-made with nice details like engravings.

Although High Elves are skilled fighters, they are not invincible. They still need protection in battle, so a shield can be a good addition to your High Elf look if you choose the warrior route. Because there are so many different depictions of High Elves, there is not one specific type of shield that you must use for this.
