The camp: fire bowl for cooking over an open flame

In living history and reenactment, fire is essential for your camp. During the day, you use the fire for cooking and for making historical glue and other crafts. In the evening, the visitors are gone, and you have time with your reenactment group around the fire. A fire bowl is perfect for safely making a fire without damaging the ground of the event site. The fire stays within the bowl, and you can easily place a tripod to cook with a pot over an open flame.

Evening in the reenactment, living history, or LARP camp: fire basket, wax torches, medieval lantern

In the evenings, it's important to have atmosphere and light in your camp, especially because you don't have artificial lighting at a festival or event. Illuminate your camp with fire in fire baskets and by placing wax torches and lanterns in the camp. A fire basket provides warmth on cold evenings, and it is pleasant to sit around it with your LARP or reenactment group. A medieval lantern can be placed on tables for extra light. Wax torches are great for medieval festivals, rituals, and pagan celebrations. For example, you can give everyone a torch, or illuminate an entire path with torches.
