Product description

This sword is based on original Oakeshott type XV swords. This type was designed in the thirteenth century in response to developments in plate armor during this period. The plate armor was increasingly strengthened. This sword was made to thrust between openings in the armor. Only in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries people started using this sword en masse. This was for example during the Hundred Years War between England and France and during the reign of the Visconti family in Milan.

This sword is made of carbon steel and comes with a black leather scabbard.
