Product description

New from Red Dragon (known for their high-quality HEMA synthetic training swords) is this line of high-level replica historical swords. These swords come with a leather scabbard and are made from high-quality steel with excellent hardness, making them suitable for intensive training.

This sword is based on longswords from the late 14th and mid-15th centuries. Its design is inspired by a longsword with a sharply tapered blade from the collection of the Royal Armouries, as well as the longsword attributed to Edward the Black Prince. Additionally, the hilt takes inspiration from the famous Brescia Spadona, which can be found in the Museo Civico in Brescia, Italy.

This sword features a wooden scabbard wrapped in brown leather with a brown leather grip. The edge is 1.75 mm thick. The blade is tempered and made of EN42J spring steel. It has a core hardness of 45 HRC and an edge hardness of 50 HRC. Thanks to these two different hardness levels, the sword is flexible and less brittle than comparable models. This sword is a combination of excellent craftsmanship and years of HEMA expertise.
