Product description

This beautiful yet low-priced sword is based on features of several swords from the late Middle Ages and early Renaissance. It has some of the features of the tournament swords used by 15th century knights. The rings on the crossguard make this type of sword unique, this is the earliest example of the later development of which the rapier is the pinnacle, with its intricate and beautiful grip designs. In medieval tournaments, these rings provided a better grip while still keeping the weight of the sword somewhat low. This sword is made of 9260 carbon steel and the tang extends into the grip. The sword comes with a leather scabbard with rings for a belt.
