Product description

This is a beautifully decorated sword with an engraved blade, pommel and cross-guard. The grip is finished with brass details. The blade is made of 420 stainless steel with 0,4 - 0,5 % carbon, 12 ? 14 % chrome and a Rockwell hardness of HRC 50. The length of the sword is 102 cm. Sheath is not included.

Charles V was emperor of the Holy Roman Empire from 1516 ? 1566. This empire was the largest empire in Europe after the empire of Charlemagne in 800. He abdicated when he had to acknowledge the freedom of religion in Germany and because he was a devote catholic this was impossible.

This sword is an Oakeshott type XIX.
