Product description
This cintus is based on belt fittings found in the fortification of Transdierna, present-day Tekija, in Serbia. They date from the second half of the 1st century AD, during the Flavian period. The original buckle is made of silver and is part of the collection at the National Museum in Belgrade.
The belt features two hangers for a pugio (a Roman dagger). It is made of cowhide leather and tinned brass. The belt is suitable for a waist circumference of 97 to 116 cm, though it can be adjusted for a larger size by adding extra holes. Weight: approximately 800 g.
