Product description

This relief is made after an original excavated in Northern France. Nowadays it is part of the collection of Musée du Louvre in Paris.

The relief is a depiction of the sitting Celtic horse goddess Epona. A fruit basket is placed on her lap. The Celtic goddess Epona was taken over by the Romans after the Gaulish wars and was worshipped in i.a. Roman Gaul.

This relief is made of plaster alabaster and measures 30 x 17 x 9 cm. It can stand as a statue but it also contains an eye to hang it to a wall.
