This medieval sword by Windlass Steelcrafts is based on historical swords from 15th century medieval France. Joinville was a French knight who took part in the Seventh Crusade. He was known for his courage and devotion to the king. History says that he used a sword like this as a lance to attack a Saracen in the Holy Land. Swords like this were very popular in medieval France and were used in sword and shield combination. The grip of this sword is made of hardwood. The sword is elegant with a great balance. It is delivered including a leather scabbard. The semi-sharp blade is forged from tempered 1065 carbon steel with a hardness of 48-52 HRC.
