Product description

Around the beginning of the 15th century, mitten gauntlets developed. In gauntlets, the fingers were protected by small pieces of steel. These were considerably weaker than larger steel plates that protect all fingers at once. Therefore, in the first half of the 15th century, mitten gauntlets became increasingly popular. Mitten gauntlets like these are part of, among others, the Avant harness. These mitten gauntlets are supplied without an inner glove. With a steel thickness of 1.6 mm, they are ideal for reenactment.
