Product description

This seax is based on originals produced on the British Isles between the 9th and 11th centuries. This type of seax is primarily found in the British Isles and Ireland, though some examples have also been discovered in Scandinavia and Germany. Seaxes like this were used both as weapons and as everyday cutting tools. They may also have played a ritual role in offerings.

It is made of 9260 carbon steel, with a hardwood grip and a brass crossguard and pommel.

The sax is 35 cm long, with a blade measuring 22.5 cm in length and up to 32 mm in width. It weighs 200 grams and comes with a sheath featuring a belt loop.
