Product description
This dress is based on clothing fragments from the ninth and tenth century found at archaeological excavations in Birka, Skjoldehamm and Hedeby. This dress is perfect for re-enacting or LARPing a Viking girl.
This comfortable dress is made of sturdy cotton that is also suitable to wear in early spring and autumn. A cotton belt is included. The dress consists of two contrasting colors of red which creates a beautiful effect. The hem of the underskirt, the belt, the neckline and the hems of the sleeves are made of a dark color red.
The finish of this dress looks completely historical. The skirt has an extra strip of fabric (gores) in the middle at the front and back. In the Middle Ages, these strips were sewn into the skirt so that it fell wide and not straight down.
