Product description

The hangeroc was a type of dress that Vikings and other early medieval European cultures wore over a slip dress. Women combined a slip dress and hangeroc that both contrasted in color, like natural and red for example, or yellow with green. Ladies also wore colorful strings of beads connected by two turtle brooches. With their clothing and accessories, Viking women wore a beautiful contrasting color palette and showed their wealth through their accessories and the type of colors that they were. The slip dress also always had to show above the hangeroc, to emphasize the color contrast. Women also wore a belt over the hangeroc on which they could hang useful items for daily use like keys, a pouch with silver, a knife, etc. The top and bottom of this luxurious hangeroc are finished with a beautiful band that shows a decorative woven pattern. You can put the hangeroc over your head and close it with the laces on the side.
