Product description

This sword is made by Hanwei after a 13th century original excavated at the River Witham near Lincoln. The original can be seen at the British Museum and it was presumably forged between 1250 and 1350. The sword is decorated in the Romanesque art style and is known for its inscription that has never been deciphered. Similar swords are still being excavated in Great Britain, Germany and The Netherlands. The sword has the inscription +NDXOXCHMDRCHDXORVI+ on one side of the blade, it possibly refers to a personal motto or a biblical text.

This replica is razor sharp just like the originals. It is suitable for cutting tests.
