Product description

This federschwert was designed for HEMA, historical European Martial arts. Federschwerter were used as training swords by various fighting schools in the 15th-16th centuries. The federschwert gets its name because the sides of the blade are removed, making the weapon faster than hand-and-a-half-handed and two-handed swords used on the battlefield. This federschwert has a blade with medium flexibility. This is the most common type of blade used for HEMA tournaments. The blade can have a maximum pressure of 11 to 12 kg. This pressure is considered safe in most HEMA tournaments. The tip has a thickening for extra safety.
